Welcome to The Vampyre Coven!

Welcome to The Vampyre Coven!

Darkest Greetings, Lovelies! Welcome to The Vampyre Coven.

My name is Jessica O’Mallie-Corvidae aka The Vampyre Witch and I am the Headmistress of The Vampyre Coven. The Vampyre Coven is one of the largest and most active (and thriving) organized real vampire (vampyre) community spaces around. We are based in the USA but have a membership count of 16,000+ from all over the globe. Personally, I am passionate about my work in the vampyre community and have dedicated many years to creating resources for real vampires & vampyre witches. Membership with The Vampyre Coven is for others who are also passionate about the creation and spread of practical and realistic educational materials and preserved information for practicing vampyres & witches.

Once upon a time not so long ago, there existed many a vampyre website. Vampyre Websites that touted information about real vampyres, the vampyre community, and the traditions and teachings within were not hard to find if you knew where to look. Many of us who have been in the community for a while grew up searching these websites for every morsel of information we could get. Nowadays in the 2020s, these websites are few and far in between. The ones we all grew up on are disappearing.

The Vampyre Coven as a whole is a group tailored around the unfiltered exploration of practical spiritual vampyrism. It is our collective mission to foster a positive and productive General Vampyre Community Haven both online and in person that aims to breed an aura of excellence amongst those who choose to take their community learning and involvement seriously. As a Coven, we focus specifically on a style of vampyrism that engages in an ecstatic and animistic style of vampyric spirituality & witchcraft. Together, we are producing an emerging current of Vampyric Witchcraft unique to us. We hope to facilitate a sense of community, support, and connection to each other and the vampyre current through our shared practices.

As a group tailored around the art of spiritual based vampyrism, our approach respectfully utilizes many different bits and pieces from many practices and pantheons. We do not limit ourselves to one path, as we find many of them to hold truth. This is not uncommon, as many vampyric spiritual traditions have chaos magick styles. Our Vampyric approach to magic allows us to explore without limitation, and I wish to extend this approach to those who do not find comfort within the confines of one tradition. You do not have to dedicate yourself to one path or one deity to find your personal power and this Coven is here to help show you how. Vampyres are liminal creatures. We exist in the grey area and thrive in the shadows. Our practice reflects that and there aren’t many spaces out there that cater to such practices.

The attitude around Vampyrism varies vastly.

Popular Vampyric websites that precede ours by decades paint the picture of their vampyric nature in the lens of a sickness or ailment. We do not.

We embrace our hunger as a part of ourselves, no different than the human need to eat food. The way each Vampyre chooses to express themselves and their nature is their business. However, we do not entertain the disposition of wallowing in a victim mindset of who and what we are.

Due to the nature of the concept of real vampyrism, it is not widely accepted in scientific or even esoteric/occult communities. As such, people who identify as real living vampyres face significant social stigma and misunderstanding. We here at The Vampyre Coven hope to provide a safe haven for the practical real vampyre. Away from both the social stigma placed upon us by outsiders and the unhinged bullshit we face from within the walls of our own communities.

It’s important to remember that vampyrism is a highly individual experience, and that the beliefs and practices of the Coven’s members are diverse and may vary greatly. Some members may focus on the exchange of energy, while others may see their vampyrism as a spiritual or psychological aspect of their identity. As a member of our Coven, you will have the opportunity to connect with individuals from all walks of life who understand what it means to be a real vampire. Our members come from a diverse range of backgrounds and perspectives, but are all united by a common interest in exploring and expressing our vampyric nature.

Our Archival & Resources Mission

The Vampyre Community has been around for decades, with roots tracing back to the 1960s and 1970s. As with any community, there are those who wish to preserve the knowledge and history of the Vampyre Subculture for future generations. It is with this goal in mind that we here at The Vampyre Coven have set out on a mission to present as much information as we can on this site as a reference guide.

One of the challenges of preserving the history of the Vampyre Community is that much of it has been transmitted orally or through informal channels, such as online forums and mailing lists. While this has allowed for a great deal of creativity and diversity within the community, it also means that information can and has been lost or distorted over time. As older members of the community pass away or lose touch others, their knowledge and experiences risk being lost forever.

To address this challenge, I have set out on a mission to archive as much information as possible on this website as a living reference and homage to a time since passed. Through continued research through publications, online archives, and the personal experiences of those who were there, we intend to house as much information for vampyres of any skill level to benefit from.

One of the benefits of this archival work is that it allows for a more nuanced understanding of the Vampyre Community’s history and evolution. By examining the documents and experiences of founding generations of the community, we can gain insights into how the community has changed over time, as well as the social and cultural factors that have shaped it.

Another benefit is that it allows for the preservation of knowledge and experiences that might otherwise be lost. By recording the memories and experiences of legacy members of the community, we can ensure that their contributions are not forgotten and that future generations have access to their wisdom.

Of course, there are challenges to this work as well. Not all members of the community may be willing or able to participate in this archival work, and some may have concerns about the privacy and confidentiality of their experiences. Additionally, the sheer volume of information that needs to be collected is absolutely daunting, and the process of organizing and cataloging this information is a significant undertaking.

Despite these challenges, I believe that the work of archiving information from previous generations of the Vampyre community is essential. By preserving this information, we can ensure that future generations have access to the history and knowledge of the community, and can build on the contributions of those who came before them. Ultimately, this archival work is an investment into the future of the Vampyre community, and a recognition of the importance of preserving our collective history and knowledge for generations to come.
