History of the Coven
History Of the Coven
The Vampyre Coven is a Vampyre Community Organization composed of several parts that provide a vast web of a support network for mature adult vampyres who align with a spiritual flavor of vampyrism.
What is The Vampyre Coven, really?
The Vampyre Coven is a conglomerate of a Vampyre Community Organization composed of several parts that make up the sum of the whole. Originally, it started out as a Facebook group for the VC and vampire culture sharing. Today, it’s so much more.
Now, The Vampyre Coven consists of:
- A Facebook Community Hub
- An informational website
- A Private Discord Community
- A Patreon Community
- In person gatherings
- A Growing Inner Coven
- Our own shared current of Vampyrecraft
and The Vampyre Coven is supported and protected by:
Our Headmistress, Madame Jessica O’Mallie-Corvidae
How did we get here?
Originally, The Vampyre Coven was a simple facebook group created in 2015 by the Coven’s – Oktober Von Vanderslice.
Our Headmistress, Madame Corvidae became a Council Member of The Vampyre Coven on April 7, 2021. At that time, the group had been taken over by scammers and was plagued by the same pitfalls many online vampyre groups succumb to. Madame Corvidae asked if she could be an admin one day half jokingly just to offer some help to get the group in working order… and to her surprise, she was made an admin on the spot. At that point there were around 7,000 members from around the world in the group. Over the course of the next couple months, it shot up to 18,000 members. The growth rate was absolute insanity. Luckily at around 18k, the massive expansion tapered out. We’re closer to <14k now as we’ve been culling the herd little by little to try to make room to highlight more meaningful interaction.
When Madame Corvidae took on this group, she wasn’t sure what it would become. At the time, it was a mess… and she was left to run it all largely on her own. But she figured, why the heck not? She enjoys a challenge, after all. The Online Vampyre Community was filled with such a mess of groups, what’s the harm in trying to make something better? In the course of just 1 – 1 ½ years, the group would be completely turned around.

We got some help along the way!
In November of 2021, Morpheus Corvinae was added to our Coven’s Council.
On January 21, 2023 – V.S. Nightborn was named our Official Historian, earning the title of Magistra Nightborn on January 21, 2025.
Honorable mentions to Surge Corvinae, Airisu & Shadow for their support along the way <3
The Path to Full Covendom
In September of 2022, Madame Corvidae was granted full ownership of the Coven by our Regent Emeritus. In a short amount of time, the Coven group was turned around from the scam and spam environment it was into being known as one of the most productive, healthy, and put together public VC facebook groups available.
With the granting of ownership of the group, Madame Corvidae was able to use the foundations she was gifted to build a diverse web of vampyric education and support networks to offer to the greater community. As such, this website was born shortly after Madame Corvidae gained ownership of the Coven at the end of 2022.
As a Vampyre Coven we have given ourselves permission to fully immerse ourselves in and exemplify vampyre culture… We opened the door to allowing ourselves to indulge in vampyre culture, lifestyle, and spirituality all together without feeling shame for it. We have taken what we know of VC history and traditions and tested those traditions ourselves, and come up with our own version of the current that suits our energy and our needs. We’ve been inspired by past traditions and we let them inform the evolution of our own paradigms.
Because of this, we’ve blossomed into the dynamic network that we are. From open public gatherings, invitational meetings and classes, and a initiatory order, The Vampyre Coven is proud to have evolved well beyond being “just another Vampyre group online” to a bustling Coven that meets together both online and off.
We’ve been very fortunate to be able to have some wonderful meetups all over the United States. It is some of our greatest moments of pride to get to share space with our friends, family, and Coven Mates in different areas. It’s our mission to continue to do so as we carry forward into the future.
Some of our more notable gatherings include:
Vampyres in the Park
Since 2018, Madame Corvidae has been involved with throwing the Mobtown Goth Picnics. It started with the Vampire Court of Baltimore(now defunct) throwing the first Vampyre Picnics in 2018. Then they evolved to twice yearly Goth & Vampyre Picnics held every year. We’ve never missed a year!
Ever since Madame Corvidae has been with The Vampyre Coven, we’ve sponsored the October Vampyre Picnics, aka “Vampyres in the Park” every October in Ellicott City Maryland.

House Kheperu Gather 2023
Over the weekend of June 23, 2023, The Vampyre Coven hosted a small invasion of the House Kheperu Gathering that year in Cleveland Ohio. It was a delightful meeting of minds, training in energy work & ritual techniques, and work these techniques in a group together. It was a beautiful opportunity to meet with old friends, make new friends, and even invite some wonderful folks into our Coven who are still with us to this day.
New Orleans 2023
For Halloween Weekend 2023, The Vampyre Coven was able to host its first larger public gatherings in New Orleans.
Our Headmistress Madame Corvidae was granted the honor of performing the opening ritual for the Dark Gift Alliance Ball in 2023.
We also held a Meet & Greet in Jackson Square. In attendance we had around a dozen states and Australia represented at the Meet & Greet.
You can see some images from our adventures in New Orleans together below.
Arcane Vampire Ball
Our Keeper of the Haven, Morpheus Corvinae, has hosted a Coven Invasion of the Arcane Vampire Ball every year since 2022.
The Annual Arcane Vampire Ball is hosted by Denver’s Own, Julian Black. Morpheus’s most recent Gathering for the Arcane Vampire Ball was in May of 2025. He will return in 2026 with our Arcane Vampire Ball friends & fam.
We very much look forward to continuing this tradition.
Where are we at now?
In August of 2025, Madame Corvidae announced that The Vampyre Coven is officially becoming an initiatory organization underneath all of its public presence and public education & activities.
Our Uniquely Pagan Approach
Within the Vampyre Community, there is a ton of overlap between vampyrism and magick. Yet, for the longest time the notion of mixing the two into a cohesive practice was weirdly frowned upon in many public online spaces.
There has always been Left Hand Path vampyre currents, and those currents grow stronger as the years go by. Father Sebastiaan’s work with the “Strigoi Vii” is his telling of the path of the Vampyre Witch. Yet, his style aligns more with a ceremonial magick approach rather than what you typically think of when it comes to witchcraft. Historically, a good portion of the online vampyre community has shied away from the idea that what vampyres experience is aligned with anything metaphysical in nature (which makes absolutely no sense) It was (and still is) widely believed that vampyrism is in a completely separate universe than what witches practice and experience.
We here at the Coven reject that notion and have taken to defining our own current of Vampyrecraft. Inspired by the Head of our Coven, we have been cultivating the Corvus Vampyre Current and our own path that guides us to and through it. This is what our Coven Academy explores.
Vampyre Community History
The Vampyre Community as we know it has existed for many years. Our Headmistress and Historian have been combing through historical evidence for years trying to collect and document recent history for record keeping and teaching purposes. We feel like we’ve barely scratched the surface.
