House of the Divine Dusk offers a haven for Vampyre and other kin who find themselves craving a current that leads with integrity and empathy. We walk this path with Honesty, Loyalty, Perseverance, Service, Candor, and Fortitude. We pave the way with daily practices that are of vampyric nature along with other traditions and spirituality. We believe in fostering constructive environments to filter energy in a healthy way with continuous education and growth for our nightside brethren.

House of the Divine Dusk is a Vampyre house that is dedicated to the personal freedom of each individual to express oneself through the arts. We are a private house that takes pride in the continuous growth of our artisan family within the greater vampyre community. We seek to provide and share inspiration through different expressions of philosophy and knowledge. The expansion of our house also includes the expansion of the mind to explore one’s own path. Elegance runs through our veins as we believe simplicity is the ultimate form of elegance. House of the Divine Dusk embodies old traditions while welcoming and embracing a new era.

Brief Synopsis of Our Philosophy

“Iron Sharpens Iron” is part of a quote that rings true in our vampyre hearts. Those that choose the path can join us in our journey. It is never just one person, but a collective effort of many that set out to encourage and challenge each other daily to be the best version of ourselves. That way, we can forge a way with strength, unity, and perseverance. What it means to us is to start one way and be reborn daily as something even more superior than before. This begins with education and discovery that continues through the fires of passion to sharpen and refine our brethren. Look to the sun as it sets on the horizon and embrace what dreams may arise in the night.

 

What’s behind the crimson velvet curtain?

We chose this name of our house with intent and purpose. The late Regent Emeritus, Lord PN D’Drennan, had a special relationship with metal, and his creations shifted our community. He was a true artist and known as the Metal Manipulator. He was commissioned to create the very first vampyre ankhs in the 90’s, by hand. He also made numerous art pieces using metal. In metalworking, the forming of one or more phases from a different phase is called heat transformation. The making of his art became the conduit between two worlds of matter and meaning, enacting the transformation of metal into something beautiful. It was perfection within the metamorphosis, and the trial by fire to get there. Metaphorically, it’s like the setting of the sun at the time of eventide. Something happens when twilight begins.  Ideas are born, artwork is created, love is sparked, dreams begin to take shape, and the music of the night carries on the wind. The element of fire is one that lights the way.

 

 

We chose the crossed blades of warriors in honor of House O’Mallie. House O’Mallie was formed in 1995 by Thomas and Stephen O’Mallie. The house has been known as the protectors of the vampyre community for over 30 years. Lord Stephen O’Mallie was instrumental in the creation of what our community has become and worked to protect it with House O’Mallie. Crossed swords often symbolize strength, courage, and valor. They represent a readiness to face challenges, adversity, or conflicts head-on. They also mean the power of thought, purification and transformation to us. The importance of duality and balance of life is highly respected within House of the Divine Dusk.

What it means to us is to start one way and be reborn daily as someone more superior than the day before.  Change begins with discovery and continues through the fires of passion to sharpen and refine our brethren as we hold FAMILY so close to our hearts. Our house represents this ideology. House of the Divine Dusk is that tribute to D’Drennan and O’Mallie to share, grow, and cultivate.

 

Our Future Goals

Our goal is to create and start a new vampyre gathering / noir salon that celebrates various forms of art that showcase poetry, drawing, photography, dance, music, and theatre in the Dallas / Fort Worth area.
